White Bolognese Sauce

Until recently, a Bolognese sauce has always meant a tomato and meat sauce.  So I was blown away when I saw Lidia Bastianich take a totally different spin on the recipe, creating a White Bolognese.  This sauce, still with meat, drops most of the tomato, adding a bit more cream and ricotta…which leaves it…well…white.

Homemade Vegetable Soup

Ground Beef Tacos

Some recipes you make because they taste great.  Some recipes you make simply because they remind you of your childhood.  This recipe for ground beef tacos is both.  As a kid, taco night was about every two weeks or so, and I loved it.  It wasn’t until much later, I learned my mom’s version was a less than authentic, clearly Mexican-American, version.  For years, I made more traditional chicken

Chicken Fajitas

Fajitas are pretty easy to make, and they are crazy delicious...when cooked well.  Cooked well to me means the meat packs a ton of flavor and is not overcooked.  The vegetables are nicely caramelized, and still have a bit of a bite.  I love this kinds of food, and I'm making some version of fajitas, tacos, quesadillas, etc, in my kitchen at least a couple times a month.  Chicken, i

Broccoli Gratin

Broccoli was a hard vegetable for me to learn to love.  I hated it as a kid, and the lasting memories of over cafeteria trays of broccoli, overcooked, limp and watery, turned me off for years.  But then entered broccoli soup....mmm…not to bad.   Broccoli Mac and Cheese or Fettucini alfredo

Adobo Steak Tacos

Tacos are good food.  In some form or another, I probably make tacos at least every couple weeks.  I love the fact that in addition to changing up the main ingredients (chicken, steak, fish, shrimp, etc) you can add new toppings, and of course, different spices.  In this recipe video, I show you how to make my version of an Adobo steak taco.  The adobo marinade is heav
